The DSH has historically been lacking documented harbour policies. To align the DSH with most fishing harbours on the BC coast, with the guidance of Small Craft Harbours, and the Harbour Authority Association of BC, a set of policies has been recently developed. These policies have been approved by the Village of Masset Council and can be viewed at
www.massetbc.com under “local information”. These policies will be actively enforced by the Village of Masset as the Wharfinger/Harbour Manager will continue to monitor and manage the workings of the Harbour, under the Village of Masset Harbour Authority. Notification will be given of any policy revisions and/or additions.
