Thunderbird Yacht Club celebrates our 50th Anniversary!
In June 1972 TBYC became a reality with a charter of 58 members and today proudly boasts a full club with 125 members. We recognize the founding members who put so much time and energy into the Club’s development and growth, without which we would not have our fabulous facilities today. Our main outstation, Ekins Point at the north end of Gambier Island has 2,000 feet of dock space and some of the calmest and warmest summer time waters close to Vancouver for a host of great activities including swimming, kayaking and water skiing/boarding. The amenities include camping pads, warm water and showers on the docks, a Longhouse where we host memorable events, a pizza oven, WiFi and more!
