The Charlie’s Charts series of cruising guides has been in print for nearly 30 years. When Charles Wood passed away in 1987 his wife Margo took the helm of the series and continued updating the books until she sold the company in early 2011. The North to Alaska volume covers Victoria to Glacier Bay, Alaska, and is divided into eight sections with colour photographs and a sketched chart indicating marinas and anchorages. Each location has a detailed sketch and description of a safe approach, recommended anchorages and shore facilities. Crucial portions such as the transit of passes and the passage of Cape Caution are given particular attention with guidelines for timing and recommended routes.
