Stepping aboard as trainees, youth learn to operate the ships alongside the crew, truly becoming crew themselves. Youth take the helm, learn to chart a course, haul lines, climb aloft to furl sails, and complete activities around the galley and ship maintenance. They increase self-confidence and resilience while having the time of their lives! Working as a team they learn to overcome real-life challenges.
For over 40 years, (BBI), Tall Ships Adventure has been an organization for youth, run by youth. Our ships and programs operate and depend on their vision, commitment, and elbow grease.
